GCI Concluded CESTour Multiplier Event-2

 Global College International (GCI) successfully concluded three-day ‘Sustainable Tourism Development Multiplier Event 2’ in Kathmandu on 28 June 2022.

Dr. Subash Shrestha, Executive Vice Principal of Global College International who is also the Coordinator for Erasmus+ Project inaugurated the training workshop. Dr. Ghanashyam Gurung, the Country Representative of WWF Nepal and Mr. Raj Gyawali were invited to the event for keynote speech. Focusing on sustainability, Dr. Gurung shared his 2 decade-long experience on what, how and why of conservation areas' sustainability. Connecting a number of insights, Mr. Gyawali, the founder of Social Tour emphasized on tourism value chain in relation with sustainability.

The training was led by the Erasmus+ Certified trainers; Mr. Sushant Marasini, Mr. Nojal Koirala and Mr. Rajendra Ojha. Designed to continue for a period of 3 days, the training workshop comprised of a number of sessions that included; input sessions, workshops, presentations, hackathon, experience sharing, guest sessions, and feedback session.

Invited as a resource person, Prof. Dr. Ghanashyam Bhattarai from Tribhuvan University shared his presentation on 'Tourism in Future' during a guest session.

The training participants were basically from GCI, and other institutions like NATHM, Kathmandu University, Nepal Airlines, Hospitree International, and a number of travel agencies operating in Kathmandu.

All participants were provided with certificates of accomplishment at the closing session.
